Guntakal is a city in Anantapur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Guntakal mandal in Anantapur revenue division.GeographyGuntakal is located at. The Nettikallu or Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy temple idol at Kasapuram on outskirts of Guntakal was also installed by Sri Vyasaraja. The Gunthakallappa Swamy Temple at Beerappa street of old Guntakal at the heart of the town, was established long ago. This temple mainly depends on the Kurubas.
