Govt. Shalimar College Baghbanpura, Lahore

Government Shalimar College Baghbanpura Lahore was established in 1963 opposite the western gate of historical Shalimar Garden Lahore in a rental building. The name of the college was Government College Baghbanpura but in 1992 government changed its name as Government Shalimar College Baghbanpura Lahore. The college started only intermediate classes in the beginning. In 1967 the college was housed in his own present building. In 1970, the government gave the status of Degree College. Now the college teaches the bachelor classes and also Graduation Classes.
