Welcome to GMERS Junagadh

Junagadh city is located at the foot of the Girnar hills. Literally translated, Junagadh means “old Fort”. GMERS Medical College and Hospital Junagadh is an institute managed by Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society and is affiliated to Saurastra University.

Nearest airport from Junagadh is 100 km at Rajkot and Railway station is just 1 km from the college campus. The campus houses college building, hospital building and residential quarters for the doctors, nursing staff and student's hostel.

The current Hospital setup has capacity of 300 beds, which will be upgraded to 750 beds in future.

UPDATE: By recommandation of MCI, Central Govt. issued Letter of Permission for establishment of new medical college at Junagadh, Gujarat by Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society, Gujarat under Saurashtra University, Rajkot with an annual intake of 150 MBBS students for the academic year 2015-16..
