All progressive organizations are born from the dreams, creative ideas and leadership of certain dedicated intellectual minds, few years ago a group of professionals with different educational background sat together and began a most ambitious program of philanthropy, something that can contribute towards development and growth of society, thus came Global Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIT) – India in existence.

Though diversity starts within the college itself, we look at all our students as one. Providing them with state of art technology. We give them a taste of the outside world and also mentally and physically prepare them to combat in the global arena.

We will act as tools to engineer the students and to give them the best education possible.We take it as a pride and pleasure to work with such talented students who will make a better world tomorrow.

Our philosophy on an educational institute is not based just on bricks, mortar and concrete. I believe it is made up of different components such as building character, enriching minds and enriching experiences that lasts a lifetime. I strongly believe that life is not a set of instructions but is a series of experiences and learning process. Likewise engineering is no exception. This is where GIT steps in, to make a difference. We believe learning is not just series of instructions but it is a passion that goes beyond books, beyond rules and beyond learning horizons.

We have a wide variety and diversity of students here, though from different places and cultures, they are all gathering here with a single-minded focus to succeed in life. GIT is the first stepping-stone to what is awaiting them. Global Institute of Engineering and Technology is an educational institution developed by the Prasad Educational Trust, which came into existence in the year 2006. In the same year they started Indian College of Education and Indian Institute of Teacher Training, which currently holds strength of almost 2000 students and 100 staffs. In 2009 Spark Public School was established with strength of 750 students and 42 talented staffs.

Prasad Educational Trust was formed to cater to the needs of the nation in the development of technocrats and to provide facilities through education to meet the entrepreneur and management needs. The management has created adequate infrastructural facilities and inducted highly qualified staff and is keen on developing the institute as a research centre.

GIT is spread over a sprawling 20-acre campus and ambient surroundings flanked by the Palar river and Jawadi hills on both sides. The college building is architecturally designed with 1.5 lakh square meters length area as per the AICTE norms. We believe in providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students from India as well as other countries.

GIT is situated 16kms from the Vellore Bus stand and is also connecting to the railway station, which is 20kms from the institute. Also upcoming in the near future is another railway station, which will be walking distance from the college.

Our engineering programs are approved by the AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai to offer top quality technical education to mould the younger generation with the spirit of service to our society.

Our chairman has spared no efforts to induct dedicated faculty and provide adequate infrastructure facilities. This college is affiliated to Anna University and also by all India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

Educational and Social Service Activities

Providing free education to deserving candidates with poor economic background to pursue their engineering degree at Global Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.

Providing fee concession every year to atleast 25 candidates from the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes from neighboring areas to pursue Diploma in teacher training and Bachelor’s degree in education at Indian College of Education.

Scholarship awards presented to academically strong students every year to the tune of 3 Lakhs.

Tree plantation of 1 million saplings is being carried out in and around Vellore district, through the Lion’s Club of Vellore to fulfill the vision of Mr. Melvin Jones (CEO of Lion’s Club International) to make a cleaner and greener Vellore.

Organized Blood Donation Camps at Global Institute of Engineering & Technology.

Organized National Science Congress for School Students all over Tamil Nadu.

Broke new grounds by being part of the establishment of this Engineering Institution with global standards to effectively provide best quality education to the students in rural area using modern technology and by implementing innovative strategies.

Completely responsible for all the Administrative activities in the college. Played a Key role by acting as a decision maker in the developmental activities which includes new Labs Construction, recruiting the best faculty and all the other academic activities within the Institution.

Within a Span of 3 years Global Institute of Engineering & Technology has earned good reputation from the University academically and our college is ranked among top 10 in this Zone.

Now I have signed two MoUs one with Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago and the other with California State University – St. Bernardino, both for MBA, Research and Higher Engineering Programs.

We have bagged Central Government funded Projects and Training programs for underprivileged students from NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology).

Eye Camps by Sankara Nethralaya, Blood Donation camps have also been conducted and subject to continue in the years to come.
