More about Folgon

Unlike Affiliate Marketing, in MLM you must build a large downline if you’re going to succeed, maintain, and earn the really big money. Many, if not most MLM programs are set up with a compensation plan that rewards you more for sales made by your downline than by your own direct sales. There’s a reason for that : they want you to recruit a downline!

Personally, I think it’s a good idea to give new recruits the immediate impression that they have become part of a “team”. After all, you really are working together for each other’s benefit, which is what teamwork is all about.

In fact, our “MLM Success Team” really IS a team. We’re in a dynamic, fast-growing 9 year old company in the hottest industry you can find, and we use an automated online marketing system and an “everybody succeeds” attitude to make sure that as many team members as humanly possible enjoy personal and financial success.

From your perspective as the recruiter, it only makes sense to support and coach your “team”, since they are the source of your best income possibilities. From the point of view of your new recruit, the reassurance that you are going to help them get started may be helpful, if not essential to keeping them in the program.

One of the biggest complaints I’ve seen on the messages boards and heard from people who have been unhappy with MLM is the lack of support from their upline. Given how MLM works, I can’t understand why some people are not supportive of their recruits, except that they apparently just don’t know any better. Duh! What do they think “network” means?

One of the best ways to promote the “team” concept is to send welcome letters to all of your new recruits, offer to help them, perhaps offer a support site like this one, and maintain some kind of contact with them on a continuing basis.

You don’t have to be a marketing genius, or even all that experienced to coach your team. If you do nothing else, just answer their questions, and ask your own upline sponsor for help when your downline members have problems that you can’t handle.

Of course, you have to be willing to balance your willingness to help with a willingness to stay out of the way of the people who want to do it on their own. Too much drum-banging and pushing for sales will probably turn off more than a few people and send them packing. Personally, I think that regular reminders of your willingness to help is more than sufficient.

Finally, keep in mind that many of your new recruits are brand new to MLM (as you, yourself once were, or may still be) and they haven’t the foggiest idea what to do next. Most of the really successful people in MLM have devised a simple “system” that they can teach to recruits, so that their methods are duplicated by those in their downline, and passed along to each new level.
