Ethereal Access

I first crawled on my knees, touching the cemented corridors and brick pavements of the big city. The first feel of my habitat, of my home and of my world. My life began within organized structures; my mind, body and soul are connected to my surroundings, connected to man’s remarkable creations and creativity. I am integrated and baptized into our world’s greatest achievements; Civilization and Society. This was not a choice, this was my purpose, and this was my past, present and future. I am bathed with unconditional love of my family, I am protected in a cozy home submerged within countless loving homes of concrete goodness and I am fed wholesome foods that are contrived to satisfy. I belong, I share, Life is good! Who am I to question otherwise? All my curiosity is cured by my gurus, my teachers who are deeply sowed and embedded into society’s education system, they teach me the ways of living in this society, they teach me how to belong, and they guide me on my search to the ultimate goal; my role in the big scheme and how to achieve the means to a higher standard of living. Life is Good, Life has a Purpose! Who am I to question otherwise?

I begin to wonder, is my world the same as the other billions of people in the world. I know of the happenings around the world through the eyes of other people, I accept what is shown to me, I believe what is told to me, why should I not? Information is knowledge, knowledge is power! But I am not satisfied, I need to experience, I need to feel, I need to explore. I start to travel. I visit other magnificent metropolises; I notice different cultures, different styles and different people, all in the same race to development, the same ambition to progress to a higher living. But I have seen this before, what of life outside these complex structures that hold our promising future, what ensues there? I am instantly drawn to life outside the big cities, to smaller societies, more immersed in their natural surroundings, having simpler equations to living.

The first astonishing disparity I noticed in these smaller societies is the connection between man and nature. The more patient and less frenzied people here have harmonized their lifestyle with their natural habitat. There is a respect for nature and rightfully so, our world’s natural beauty is abundant, spectacular and inspiring. I explore the vastness of life in the world’s true demeanor, I experience the codependency of all living things in our world, our home and I learn to love and respect my home.

I can write an infinite amount of words to describe my home’s untouched brilliance or I can document and share it through my fellow man’s incredible innovations of connectivity. But I would dare not deprive my human family of opening their five senses and taking in the purity our home offers, as this I believe is real and true connectivity, this is reality at its ‘highest definition’ and this is how I believe the gap between our advanced digital world and the natural world will be bridged. We are new inhabitants of this old, ever adapting and everlasting world. We owe our survival to this world, the least we can do is spend some time understanding it and caress it in its true form.
We have all chosen to walk different paths in our lives; Collective consciousness evades us as a species. We have been given the gift to think and act for ourselves. Some of us have chosen our purpose towards fame or power or material gain or economic progress or technological advancement or to reach the stars. There are others who have chosen less individualistic purposes such as love or helping others or teaching or preserving our natural world. All I implore from my family all around the world is to use this gift given to us to walk and experience all paths laid before us and understand each one. I have walked many paths and now I have chosen my purpose; to guide people through the pathways into our natural world.
