History-Erandol was formarly known as Ek chakra nagari at the time of Pandavas and after that the name of the town was Arunawati. A Ganesh-temple located on the outskirts of this village, near the temple, is the place where Ganpati Kshetra is there. In shashtra's Padmalaya is known as "Purna Peeth" which is one of the "Sade Teen Peeth" in India. Here is that place where Bhim had killed the mighty Bakasura

Geography-Erandol is located at 20°55′N 75°20′E / 20.92°N 75.33°E / 20.92; 75.33.[1] It has an average elevation of 227 metres (744 feet). Geographically Erandol Situated at Tapi Valley of the Deccan Plate, between the Satputa Hills and Ajanta Hills. Anjani river passes through the city The East-West Corridor - National Highway 6 or Asian Highway 46, which connects Mumbai and Nagpur connects the town to Dhule to the west and Jalgaon to the east. Nearest railway station is Dharangaon on Surat Line, about 12 km & Mhasawad on Mumbai Line about 14 km.

Demographics-As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Erandol had a population of 30,120. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Erandol has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 57%. In Erandol, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Erandol is well famous in the region for its basic and highschool level education. R T Kabre Highschool is worth mentioning, which is located on NH6, and has been a place responsible for development of quite a few big personalities in the region. There are also good Urdu teaching schools, which are centres for learning for the surrounding rural population

Places of interest-Jama Masjid Jama Masjid is the centuries old historical , worshipping place of muslims is worth visiting has beutiful inscription of Quranic verses on its walls,.It is constructed in early Muslim rule in khandesh around 1300 AD partly fort-partly Masjid by most probably Alauddin Khilji. Jama Masjid forms a large quadrangle surrounded by a wall a great part of which has a succession of windows with stone lattice work of various patterns.on either side of the mehrab(imam's praying place) are arched recesses surrounded by beautiful and varied scroll work, with the crescent and star on the tops of each.The central Masjid has a massive roof of great blocks and beams of stone still bearing traces of red and yellow colouring, the whole supported on large stone pillars ornamented with flowers.

Shree Shketra Padmalaya

The place "Padmalaya" is 8 km away from Erandol , situated at the tiny hills. It is a shrine having two statue of Shree Ganesha at a single place. The Anjani Dam is 1.5 km away, constructed on river Anjani. It is the hope for Erandols development.
