Elim Melody Academy, Darjeeling

Elim Melody Academy, Darjeeling School of Music, located in The Queen of Hills, Darjeeling, was established in 1976 by Mr Jiwan Pradhan as a medium through which he could share what he knew in music with the people of Darjeeling and nearby.
Initially starting with one student, the academy opened it's door to Kurseong and other places. Now it has flourished into an institute which provides complete musical education on the Violin, Guitar and Piano and Drums..
The students sit for yearly examinations from Initial grades till Grade 8 and also higher level diplomas like ATCL and LTCL, conducted by 3 international boards:-
• Trinity College of Music.
• Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
• Rock School International.

The institute is also an examination center for the afore mentioned boards.
With over 36 years of experience, Elim Melody Academy, Darjeeling School of Music has about 250 regular students.
Music Classes are held mainly on Saturdays and Sundays.

If your answer is a positive ‘Yes’ then chances are that you have a good ear for music, which in turn could mean that with a little effort you may be able to handle a musical instrument and with some practice, you will be amazed to find yourself playing a Violin, or a Guitar or the Piano so deftly that you will almost take it for granted that you have the gift of music.
The objective of Elim Melody Academy, Darjeeling School of Music, is to help discover and develop latent talent in music lying dormant in a person. For lack of opportunity, talents go wasted. For lack of proper training the growth of a potential genius remains stunted. Many a home could be filled with music and romance and hours of happiness could be added, if only children are initiated into the world of music at a very early age(Lets say 7).

It is an investment to develop musical talent. Many don’t realize that they have the gift of music until they try. Those who have tried and found that they have ear for music, have been instrumental , if you will kindly pardon the pun, in buying for themselves, wealth of peace and happiness.
