Dibrugarh Airport

DIBRUGARH AIRPORT surrounded by lush green tea estate located 16 km away from Dibrugarh city, is only airport in Upper Assam providing air services to the people of this region and neighboring state Arunachal Pradesh. The airport is spread over an area of 387 acres and its main runway 05 / 23 is 1830 mtrs. It has an apron with 7 parking bays which can accommodate C Type aircraft. The airport is fitted with CAT-I ILS on runway 05.
The Terminal building has been designed in a modular concept catering for futuristic needs of expansion if / as & when the situation so demands. As on date, the building has a capacity to handle 250 arriving and 250 departing passengers during peak hour. It has an area of 7227.42 Sqm and made of a glass and steel structure meeting world-class norms, having state –of – the-art, passenger-friendly facilities and amenities such as central Air conditioning, escalators, public address system, Flight Information system (FIDS), Car parking etc to name a few. Other equipments include baggage departure conveyor system compatible with inline X-Ray Baggage inspection System and inclined arrival baggage claim carousals.
The new terminal building has 10 check-in counters and 2 Baggage claim conveyors at the arrival hall.
