It has an average literacy rate of 61 percent, with male literacy at 72 percent and female literacy at 48 percent.HistoryIn modern times D.G.K. is primarily known as an important part of the West Central Railway. The city was once home to many English families including the Corneiles, Patmans, Gillespies, and Francises. Only a small portion remain.
