Deepam School For Special Children

Deepam" School For Special Children is run by a socially conscious couple, Mr.Arumugam and Mrs. Vijaya Arumugam. The School is run under Jayaguru Seva Trust. Mr. Arumugam, M.A., B.Ed., S.D.S.E., P.G.D.G. & C., Y.T.C. has been in the selfless service of looking after the intellectually disabled persons & autistic children for the past twenty five years. In Deepam, each child is thoroughly tested and evaluated assess their level of neurological and physical development. These methods of testing & observational assist in designing a special education and Vocational program to each child. Vocational training and job training to the intellectually disabled is placed as the top priority at Deepam. At 16 years of age the vocational skills of each child are determined according to the student's interest, ability and skills level.
