Corbett Tiger Reserve

Jim Corbett National Park is tucked away in the foothills of the Sub-Himalayan belt and is unsurpassed in scenic beauty. Situated in Nainital District of newly created state Uttarakhand, the oldest national park of Asia is named after the famous British hunter - Edward James Corbett. The park came into existence in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered species of Royal Bengal Tiger. The park attracts more than a lakhs of tourists every year, generating 7.5 crore revenue. The months of November through June are the perfect time to visit Corbett.
