In 1958 we were called Royal Restaurant. Then, three generations back is when we started serving local cuisine to the romantic travelers visiting us in Darjeeling …While these travelers rubbed shoulders at the market with the locals from town and tea gardens , one food enthusiast slipped in a desire to have Chinese cuisine…This idea from one such traveler appealed to us ….. It was in the early 1980’s we decided to add a Chinese tray to our servings … Chopstix evolved…. Naturally what we served was a salad bowl of different cultures infused together.. So we had Chineses cusine with a whiff of Tibeto –Sikkimese &local Nepali taste. As we sail along, To this day we enjoy what we do… ‘’ Thank –You ’’ for being a part of the journey.
