Chalisgaon

Chalisgaon is a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the state of Maharashtra, India. The town, known for its well planned architecture, is situated on the bank of river Titur and Dongari in the northern part of Maharashtra state. A main railway junction station under Bhusawal division of central railway is on the Mumbai-Delhi/Mumbai-Kolkata railway route and all major super fast, mail and express trains halt here. The city is known for its own kind of modern culture with due respect of its own history. due to its geographical conditions and pleasant climate it was administrative head quarter of three districts during British rule which were Khandesh, (Divided later in two parts i.e. east and west Khandesh having their district headquarters at Jalgaon and Dhule respectively) Nasik and Aurangabad. It is also known as Bamoshi baba dargah.
