Chakkalakkal Higher Secondary School

The School had a very humble and modest beginning. But soon it grew up to become one of the biggest and most popular High Schools in the District.

The Institution is run by National Educational Trust established for finding a solution to the educational backwardness of the locality. The founder President of the Trust was P.K. Aboobacker Koya who was a teacher and a man of vision. The Secretary of the Trust Sri. P.K. Sulaiman also is the Manager of the School and it is his foresightedness and planning which propels the flight of this Institution from better to the best.

Sri. V.K. Moidy, the first Head Master of the School led the Institution till 2001. His leadership and guidance was a great contribution to the growth of this School. After his retirement in 2001 Sri. M. Rajagopalan took charge of the Headmaster. He has been very particular of in result oriented and quality assured development in both academic and co-curricular areas. The School stands first or second in Sub-District Sports and Youth festival every year.

The School is proud of it's strong P.T.A.. The present President is Sri. Abdul Salam K.C. who is also a former student of this School. P.T.A. undertakes a lot of activities to help the students and parents. P.T.A. finances for distributing free Uniform and Books to the poor and needy students. It has a very big role in promoting Sports and other co-curricular activities in the Campus.

We have an active Alumini Association. Sri. Thottathil Koya is the President and the Association extends all sorts of helps in enhancing the facilities for the students. We are grateful to the Association for setting up Class Libraries in this school during 2009-2010. December 25th is the Alumini Association Day and our former students makes it an opportunity to meet together every year.
