Boudha is one of the largest stupa in the world. Located about 11 km from Kathmandu, the massive mandala is the largest spherical stupa in Nepal.

As of 1979, Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most popular landmark and tourist sites in Kathmandu. Monks walk about in saffron robes, Tibetans walk with prayer wheels in their hands, and the rituals of prostration are presented to the Buddha as worshippers and travellers walk around the stupa in a clockwise fashion.
