Berachampa Deulia Uchcha Vidyalaya is a high school located in Berachampa, West Bengal, India. It offers classes from upper primary to higher secondary. One of the oldest schools in the area, it has been run by the government since January 2, 1948. Currently, more than 2,300 students are attending the school. Formerly a boys' school in status, after the madhyamik standard, it was declared as a co-educational school.HistoryThe school was originally caled the Deulia M.E. School and then renamed to Sir Stanley Jackson Uttam Vidyamandir School, after Stanley Jackson who was the Governor of West Bengal from 1927 to 1932. The Indian government later took over the school and gave its current name.CampusThe school has two floors. The ground floor contains the headmaster's office, staff room, computer room, and main hall in the front wing of the building. The right wing holds a chemistry laboratory, classrooms, and restrooms. The left wing of the building contains a common room and further classrooms. The second floor houses more classrooms in the front and right wings and a grand hall in the left wing. A library and physics and biology laboratories are found at the rear of the building on the second floor.
