AHRA aims to further access to justice by providing quality pro bono legal services for people with limited or no means. We expertise in providing legal aid and conducting public interest litigation and our lawyers provide professional legal assistance to marginalized people. We work with prisoners, women, children, workers in the unorganized sector, slum dwellers, persons with disabilities, dalits and tribal people, stateless persons, migrants, refugees, other undocumented immigrants, senior citizens, members of the LGBTQIA community to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed under the law. Our work is guided by international human rights and humanitarian law and respect for the dignity of every human being. We believe that inequalities and human rights violations can be effectively addressed only through coordinated efforts in activism and judicial intervention.
We are actively seeking collaborations with non-profit organizations, human rights groups, grass-roots organizations and social movements to engage in advocacy, conduct legal awareness programs, investigate and report human rights violations, prepare and publish resource materials, and participate in campaigns.
