More about Art of Living International Center

The Art of Living Ashram, founded in 1986 and spread over 65 acres of land is resplendent with nature’s beauty and peace. The Bangalore Ashram hosts an array of yoga and meditation based workshops on inner peace and human values, which take you deep within yourself. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from more than 150 countries experience inner peace and learn stress-elimination breathing techniques here. In addition to yoga, meditation, and powerful breathing techniques, Sudarshan Kriya®, the world-acclaimed rhythmic breathing technique cognized by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is an important element of courses taught here.

The Art of Living Ashram also houses state of art Ayurveda Panchakarma Centre situated amidst swaying palms and built with wood in the traditional Kerala style. Guests can schedule personal consultations with Panchakarma doctors at the facility and opt for an extended curative treatment plan that includes special massages, diets and other Ayurvedic treatments.
The Ashram offers comfortable accommodation for all its residential programs, as well as a dining hall that serves tasty and nutritious vegetarian meals three times a day.

YOGA AT ASHRAM
Every week-end, The Ashram offers Sri Sri Yoga, a complete yoga program for you - one that nurtures the mind, body and spirit. The program, designed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, typically involves fast paced warm-ups, followed by standing, sitting and lying down Asanas (Yoga postures) – the pace becoming gradually slower and meditative. Benefits are immediately felt – tense muscles become relaxed, the mind becomes calm, attention improves, and a quiet joy like a hidden stream opens up.

MEDITATION AT ASHRAM
Advanced Meditation Program: The techniques and processes of the Advanced Meditation Program allow the conscious mind to settle deep into itself. Four-day Advanced Meditation programs are held every week from Thursday to Sunday. For experienced meditators week-long and 10 day Silence programs are also available. Prior booking is required for room and seat availability.

Sahaj Samadhi Meditation: This is the simplest and shortest way of experiencing meditation based on a personal mantra which acts like a paasword to open up state of total relaxation. The beej or seed mantra creates powerful vibrations that lead to feelings of expansiveness and relaxation. The beauty of this Course is that you learn to the skills to meditate anywhere, any time and in any surroundings.

ART OF LIVING HAPPINESS PROGRAM
Sudarshan Kriya, the backbone of the Art of Living Happiness Program, is a rhythmic breathing technique that takes us back to the rhythm of our being! Preceded by powerful pranayamas, the Sudarshan Kriya is a powerful tool of transformation that leads to a state of alert calmness. The Program is held every week-end from Friday to Sunday
