Amaltas College of Education - ACE

Amaltas College of Education is part of a network of social organizations focusing on rural development in Bihar since 1965. It includes organizations working on women’s empowerment, affordable housing, sanitation, formal and informal education, and communications training. The objective of the network is to bridge the rural-urban divide, by achieving social and economic inclusion of rural households in Bihar.
Recognizing the importance of high-quality early education in shaping a child’s future, the group set up Amaltas Niketan, an English-Medium CBSE school. The school was started in 1999, and presently has 1100+ children in classes Nursery to Std. X. 100% of the students are children from poor and low-income rural households. Children graduating from the school have made it to prestigious degree colleges around the country, and on-route to successfully integrating into the urban economy.
Identifying the need for high quality teachers in the immediate area and the country, the group has set up ACE.

Amaltas College of Education (ACE) offers 2 courses - Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
The college site is in Village Indrapuri in the Rohtas district of Bihar, well connected by rail and road.
