AMPI is located in Chennai, Tamilnadu which is a automotive hub of India with the presence of companies like FORD, BMW, NISSAN, HYUNDAI, TVS, ASHOK LEYLAND LTD etc. It produces almost 1 million vehicles in all categories. AMPI felt the need for a state of the art service centre for Cold Rolled and Hot Rolled sheets to cater to the auto segments and many other segments present in south of India.

The group consisting of processing centre, distribution companies - Sri Agarwal Ispat and Agarwal Steel Enterprises has more than 150 crores turnover catering to OEM's and trade sector in Tamilnadu.
