General Information
“AGAPE” Youth Mission is a first step taken up by the youths of Masihi Mandali Church, Homes/Sherpa Gaon, more popularly known as Sherpa Gaon, Kalimpong, West Bengal, India.
Agape is a social welfare organization which also works to spread the Word of God. This organization came into existence mainly due to the efforts of church youths of Masihi Mandali under the supervision of Amos Chettri. The idea of forming such an organization was initiated by Amos Chettri right from December 2013, which was supported by the youths and finally resulted in the formation of the same and the name AGAPE YOUTH MISSION was prayerfully entrusted on 26th April, 2014.
Our Vision to Care and a Mission to Share
The word itself enlightens the meaning of ‘AGAPE’ that is the love of our Heavenly Father and His Son Lord Jesus Christ. It’s written in the Holy Bible as
“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have an eternal life’ (John3:16)
And with this true biblical vision in mind, heart and soul, the youths of Masihi Mandali have decided to share the Word of God and His true Love to every possible corner.
AGAPE Youth Mission is not just an ordinary missionary organization that simply preaches His words but also strives to serve a little more to the needy. We yearn to extend our helping hands to those in need. We have heard the call of our Lord speaking to us as

“Suppose someone has enough to live and sees a brother or sister in need, but does not help. Then God’s love is not living in that person. My children, we should love people not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring.” (1 John 3: 17-18)

Our Programs
Keeping in mind today’s Social Problems like Drug Addiction, Hiv-Aids, Alcoholism etc, we have opted to organize social awareness programmes as and wherever required. Furthermore, our committed team members would also engage in the following fields:
• Social Works ( Periodic Cleaning of identified localities and maintaining hygienic atmosphere).
• Mobilize Funds to provide Financial Support to Needy Students, Sick, Poor and Senior Citizens.
• Pay Periodic visits to Orphanages, Old Age Homes and Residents of Senior Citizens to spend some quality time with them.
• Take initiatives to distribute Free New/Old Clothes and Ration etc. to needy individual, family or groups.
• Share the Gospel (also through Open Air Gospel programs) and increase fellowship with such persons who are still in darkness and haven’t even heard of our Savior Lord Jesus Christ.
