Acharya School of Design

Acharya Institution is launching Acharya School of Design affiliated to Bangalore University. It ha s an objective of providing creative ambience for learning to Visual Arts and Design Programs and to have Architecture, Design and Visual arts under one roof; which is seen as a unique effort. School of Design nurture the interest of students in creative mediums such as Product design, Interior and spatial design, Graphic Design, Animation ,Painting , Sculpture and many other programs will be added as Institution grows . ASD is looking beyond the curriculum and want to train the students to address the problems of the society and offer better design solutions to make life better and comfortable. ASD is adopting inclusive exploration of Traditional skills, Modern Science and Applied Technology.
Supported by eminent Design professionals and Artists, ASD plans to conduct workshops, seminars, and socially relevant Art and Design Research projects for its students. ASD is under the process of association with Professional and Industry bodies and will initiate Green Design and Sustainable Design research and projects. ASD is exploring to collaborate with Institutions overseas to bring global experience and knowledge on board. ASD also has plans to collaborate with Industries and Communities of different backgrounds for Innovative Design research Projects to benefit larger society needs.
