Dhorimana

Dhorimana is a village in tahsil of Barmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.HistoryThe name is derived from "Dhora", as this village is surrounded by the sand dunes of the Thar Desert ("Dhora") and Aravali mountains. The town is known by the name of "Aalam nagri". Around 1974 this village was badly affected by drought, killing many animals and making food scarce. The village grew to become the biggest "Panchayat" of Barmer District.DescriptionThe village offers basic amenities such as electricity, water at doorstep.
